Francesco Dainelli

Abstract

The most efficient regulation approaches to the sustainability are on voluntary bases. In the wine business, the “biointegrale” strategy, developed by our case study (the group Casadei-Olianas-Castello del Trebbio), aligns with the semi-mandatory organic rules and adopts only the biodynamic practices scientifically validated, paying attention to all circular innovations and best marketing practices. In the medium term, this new strategy shows superior financial performance in comparison to the previous conventional agriculture. The “biointegrale” vision could open interesting perspectives beyond the wine business, as a new paradigm to implement business models capable to improve the market equilibrium in a social and environmental view.
