Imprese familiari e fabbisogno di governance nel processo di successione generazionale

Carmen Gallucci, Giuseppe Gentile

Abstract

The study aims at delineating a theoretical reference model of the demand for governance in the imminent transition from one generation to another. This would provide a useful frame for the instigator of the process of transition to evaluate ex post, the efficacy of board decision-making in a continuity perspective relative to the family business and the co-presence of the family in the business. Accordingly, on the basis of current economic-business literature, a model has been devised defining three dimensions: the quality of family business relations with their stakeholders,  the economic-financial performance of the family business and the rate of family conflict in the business.
